For diagnosis of CAD, modalities that provide the most definitive information are key. There are two objectives of diagnosis, identify the presence of CAD and detect ischemic CAD that requires intervention. Cardiac CT is a great strategy to diagnose the presence of CAD. Stress imaging including both echocardiography and stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) are both great non-invasive tests to detect ischemic CAD which can lead to appropriate intervention via cardiac angiography.
