CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE (CAD)

Adding stress ECG and stress echo imaging to resting images creates a cost-effective stress imaging modality and is a Class I recommendation for intermediate risk patients presenting with chest pain and non-diagnostic ECG.
A negative test can reduce the need for additional testing and may decrease cost of care for this intermediate risk patient population.

Quantify wall motion at all stress levels

VividTM series echocardiography scanners include AFI Stress protocols to quantify global and segmentation strain for wall motion assessment at each stress level. Incorporating strain and myocardial work in stress echo have the potential to improve accuracy of stress echo for CAD probability 11.
