CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE (CAD)

ECG can identify patients with possible prior events and other ECG abnormalities suggestive of ischemic CAD. Early access to ECG for chest pain or concerning symptoms is imperative whether in the field via EMS, in the Emergency department or in the office. Early, quick access can help identify acute events earlier and allow for more effective management.

Reduce door-to-balloon time:

Load pre-hospital ECG recordings into GE MUSETM NX while the ambulance is still on the road in the acute setting. 4

Serial comparison with MUSETM NX:

The GE MUSE NX system offers the ability to easily compare ECGs to quickly identify if any ECG changes are new or consistent with previous abnormalities. This functionality not only identifies patients who need further work-up but prevents unnecessary testing by quickly assessing for previously identified abnormalities. In a Value- Based environment, the ability to reduce unnecessary testing is crucial.4

Assess pre-test probability of CAD

In symptomatic patients with stable chest pain, the presence of changes in Q-wave, ST-segment or T-wave abnormalities (which can be automatically detected by the 12SL algorithms in MUSETM NX), can increase the pre-test probability of obstructive CAD.4,5
