Follow up for patients diagnosed with valvular heart disease is important for surveillance of valve disease progression. Not all valve disease will progress to the need for intervention but for those that do, timely detection is important. Serial imaging exams are required with intervals based on valve disease severity and symptoms.²³ For patients' post-valve intervention, initial imaging is important to develop a baseline followed by routine follow-up.
